Innovators Scholarship Program
Honeywell continually seeks strong engineering and technology talent from target universities around the globe. Through our Innovators Scholarship Program, students have the opportunity to receive a paid internship at a Honeywell facility, and scholarship money to apply toward their final school year.
We presently offer the program to students attending select Universities in the following countries:

Eligibility

The Honeywell Innovators Scholarship Program is open to Bachelor's, Master's or select PhD students who will be entering their final academic year of study in 2011. To apply, you must:
  • Be a current student at one of our target universities, pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines:
    • Aerospace Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Computer Engineering
    • Electronics & Communication
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Instrumentation
    • Mechanical Engineering
  • Meet our academic performance requirements:
    • Achieving 90-100 on a 0-100 point scale (for students in China and Mexico)
    • Achieving 1 or 2 on a 1-4 point scale (for students in the Czech Republic)
    • Achieving 7+ or 8+ on a 1-8/10 point scale; 70+ or 80+ on a 1-100 point scale (students in India)
    • Achieving 3.2+ on a 4 point scale (for students in Malaysia)
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have legal authorization to perform labor in one of the following countries: China, the Czech Republic, India, Malaysia or Mexico.

If you meet all of the eligibility requirements, you can apply for the Honeywell Innovators Scholarship by clicking on the name of your participating university. This will take you to our careers website where you will complete an online application. This includes a candidate profile, a copy of your resume/CV, a copy of your university transcript, and your responses (in English) to both of the following essay questions. Essays can be no more than 500 words for each question and should be submitted in an attached file.
Essay 1: Describe a project you managed where there were many obstacles to success. What did you do to overcome those obstacles?
Essay 2: Describe a situation in which you identified a problem and took action to correct it rather than wait for someone else to do so.

How is the scholarship awarded?
Upon completion of the internship, students will be awarded their scholarship. The payment of the scholarship varies based on each country's and university's practices. Interns with one semester or half an academic year remaining after their internship, will receive a pro-rated amount of the full scholarship linked to your region.

How can I withdraw my application?
Send an e-mail indicating your desire to withdraw from further consideration to Innovator@honeywell.com.

If I have missed the application deadline for this program, how can I find out about additional Honeywell career opportunities?
Honeywell is continually looking for highly qualified and skilled individuals for internships and full-time opportunities. Create a profile on the Honeywell Careers Website. From there you can search through our jobs database or create an automatic notification that will send you a note via e-mail if there is a job that becomes available that matches your career interest.

What are the work authorization requirements for scholarship applicants?
You must have legal work authorization in one of the following countries: China, the Czech Republic, India, Malaysia or Mexico.

Will you accept non-English applications and documents?
No, all applications and materials MUST be in English to be considered for the Innovators Scholarship program.
