报告简介：

Xiang Liu ( 刘 翔) received his M.S. degree in Physics from the Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1994, and his Ph.D. degree in applied physics from Cornell University in 2000.
Since joining Bell Labs as a Member of Technical Staff in 2000, Xiang has been primarily working on high-speed optical communication technologies. He has authored/co-authored over 180 journal and conference papers, and holds 31 US patents. His publications have been cited more than 1,200 times (based on SCI).

Xiang is a senior member of the IEEE, a committee member of Optical Fiber Communications Conference (OFC), and was the Vice-Chair of the Optical Communications Technical Group of the Optical Society of America (OSA) (2007-2008). He is also a guest Professor of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Shanghai Jiaotong University.
