Lein Harn ，美国密苏里大学电子工程系教授。 Lein Harn教授于1977年获得台湾国立大学电子工程理学学士学位，1980年获得纽约州立大学工电子工程硕士学位，并在1984年获得明尼苏达大学电子工程博士学位。同年，Lein Harn教授成为密苏里哥伦比亚分校电子与计算工程系副教员。1986年，Lein Harn 教授移至密苏里大学看萨克斯城(UMKC)的计算机科学与通信项目(CSTP)，并且离开UMCK一年，在佛罗里达的Racal Data Group继续进行研究工作。Lein Harn教授的研究领域包括加密技术、网络安全与无线通信安全等。迄今为止，他已在数字签名的设计及应用、无线网络安全等方面发表了众多论文，撰写两本安全方面书籍。目前，他正在研究数字签名和秘密共享在通信应用中的新方法。

报告摘要：

Modern cryptography was developed during 1970s that can provide many new security services other than confidentiality. This talk will cover these new security services and include some historical events involving the development of modern cryptography. Also, I will try to address research methodology, including finding research topics, collecting related information, proposing new solutions, etc. based on my 30-year research experience.
